Sumario: | The Objective of this project is to evaluate the technical and economic feasibility of the recovered BoPET reprocessing, for reuse as a raw material and for this there are 5 chapters which will be described below. The Opp Film S.A. Company is dedicated to the production of plastics films, thermoforming and engineering resins, it has two production plants in the district of Lurin. The business market to which the company belongs is the flexible packaging production; these can be used as packaging to food, beverages, personal care, home care and pet food products. Also, through technical, economic and environmental justifications it was determined that it is feasible to meet the objective set in the investigation. The project develop and raises the existence of a main problem located in the high stock of recovered BoPET, 2 331 tons. Being hygroscopic in nature, it absorbs water, which generates a break in its carbon chains, directly affecting the mechanical properties of the final product as well as the processability in its operation reflected in the film breaks during its production. The investigation proposes the following possible solution: The reprocessing of the recovered BoPET by polimerization. The result of the reprocessing is the decrease in the formulation cost, increasing the profitability of the company. Finally, it was determined that the project is viable, since the desired results will be obtained during the production process and a saving of $ 2 659 807.33 will be obtained during 1 years of production of films of thicknesses equal to or greater than 12 microns. |
