Sumario:This study addresses the operational challenges faced by Peruvian SMEs in automotive battery manufacturing. A Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) model with planning, testing, implementation, and validation phases was developed to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime. Results show a 13.85% increase in operational efficiency and a 25.58% reduction in non-conforming products. The study provides a scalable framework to enhance competitiveness and sustainability in the automotive supply chain.
