| Sumario: | The aim of the present study was to analyze the relation between job satisfaction and employee engagement on administrative positions in Lima Metropolitana’s companies. The main hypothesis was that there is a positive correlation between the mentioned variables. The instruments used were the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES-17) developed by Schaufeli and Bakker (2003) and the Chamba es Chamba Scale created by Yamamoto (2012). They were applied on a sample conformed by 100 employees from companies with a minimum of 1000 workers. The study findings concluded that there is a positive and statistically significance correlation between job satisfaction and employee engagement, as well as between their subcomponents. Nevertheless, in spite of what was mentioned before, there is the need to continue developing more studies with the analyzed variables in bigger samples, aiming to get data that can be generalized. Additionally, companies should create policies and strategies that look forward to have more satisfied, motivated and engaged employees. |
