| Sumario: | The primary objective of this research is to improve the efficiency of the storage process in a roller shade company by applying Lean Manufacturing tools. This topic was selected due to the growing need for companies to optimize their logistics processes to remain competitive in an industrial environment characterized by high demand levels and an increasing focus on customer satisfaction. In this context, the research question posed is: What solutions can be implemented to increase the efficiency of the storage process? The research seeks to implement viable methodologies to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waiting times, and improve workflow in the storage area. This study is crucial, as improvements in warehouse management have the potential to significantly impact overall productivity, contribute to achieving the company’s strategic objectives, and strengthen its ability to respond to market demands. The methodological design was based on the PDCA cycle (Plan, Do, Check, Act) and the application of the 5S tool in a specific warehouse area to establish a continuous improvement model. To validate the results obtained, the Arena simulation software was used, enabling a detailed comparison between the initial state and the outcomes after the intervention. The findings showed an increase in storage process efficiency, rising from 33.96% to 54.72%, along with a significant reduction in waiting times and the total process time. Furthermore, employees reported a notable improvement in workflow, reinforcing the effectiveness of the tools applied. |
