Sumario: | The present document aims to determine the technical, economic and social viability for the installation of a plant for the manufacture of pink slate tiles. The collection of data is mainly research papers related to construction and non-metallic mining. These were then analyzed and contrasted with the current development of the market, the aims, the scope and limitations of the paper. A market research was conducted to define the target group. Also, the competitive market of tiles coverings was analyzed, deepening into its characteristics and benefits Ultimately, the expected demand for the next years was identified and a communication strategy was developed to attract 4% of the domestic demand. As for the plant location analysis, to decide on this point, a numbered of factors were considered such as the proximity of the raw material, the availability, the climate, etc. This resulted in the selection of Mariscal Nieto in the department of Moquegua, as the location for the installation of the plant. Next, constraining factors, such as the availability and quantity of resources, were compared to determine the theoretical capacity of the plant. Based on the results of this analysis, it was obtained that it is possible to produce 245 484 m2 according to the markets demands Then, in the fifth chapter, the engineering analysis of the project was done, to define the specifications, technology, processes of product and the plant capacity. Likewise, the requirements of inputs, raw materials and workers were quantified to carry out the process. Finally, it is determined that to implement the project an estimated investment of S/6,116,311 financed 30% with a rate of 12.75 will be needed for the installation. At the end of the project’s useful life, it was estimated a VAN and economic TIR of S/384,962 and 20.3% respectively. On the financial side, there is a VAN of S/1,792,300 and TIR of 42%. Therefore, the research concludes that the feasibility for the installation of a pink slate tile factory is profitable and attractive over time. |
