Este objetivo se procuró alcanzar por medio de la elaboración de un discurso de la unanimidad, es decir, de la generación de un tipo de pensamiento único e irrefutable para consumo de los lectores. El estudio de casos permite ver cómo la corte virreinal limeña hizo una interpretación premeditada e interesada de estas noticias para, simultáneamente, halagar a la aristocracia y denigrar a la plebe.---A study of three editions of the Gaceta de Lima will underscore the importance of this newspaper as a disseminator of the official version of the political figure of the viceroy and his entourage. This objective was achieved by projecting a discourse of unanimity, that is, by generating a uniform and irrefutable message for the reader’s consumption.
