Este estudio presenta un análisis clúster de los sectores industriales y de servicios de la economía peruana, a partir de la tabla insumo-producto para el año 2007. El estudio describe los clústeres listando las empresas más importantes, los eslabonamientos productivos, el destino final de los productos, y la propiedad de las empresas claves consideradas. El estudio concluye que los clústeres industriales en Perú tienen un carácter embrionario debido a: (a) limitaciones de capacidad tecnológica en las empresas, (b) insuficiencia de demanda interna que permita aprovechamiento de economías de escalas, (c) limitaciones para un mayor financiamiento, y (d) retracción de la inversión extranjera directa. El estudio concluye que los clústeres más desarrollados son los complejos de exportación: Minería-Metalurgia, Pesca, y Textiles; y el sector Construcción. This study presents a cluster analysis of all industrial sectors and services sector in Peru, which is derived from information contained in the input-output table of the Peruvian economy for the year 2007. The study lists the most important firms in every cluster, it describes the production links among firms and the final destination of all outputs, and it provides information about the owners of some of the key firms. The study concludes that industrial clusters in Peru are yet in the first stages of development because: (a) low technological capabilities in the firms, (b) insufficient domestic demand that prevents acceptable use of economies of scale, (c) restrictions for external financing, and (d) weakening direct foreign investment. The study concludes that the most-developed industrial clusters are those related to the exporting centers of the economy: Mining-Metal Industries, Fishing, and Textiles; and the Construction sector.
