Managing his neurotic mood, the inquisitors tried to take full advantage of a case of little relevance to give themselves the means to end a crypto-Jewish nucleus that had spread to the Indies.Un joven converso gallego, iniciado en la fe de Moisés por las mujeres de su familia cerca de la frontera portuguesa, poco antes de trasladarse al Perú a fines del siglo XVI, solicitó, en 1603, la absolución del Santo Oficio de Lima, obsesionado por la salvación de su alma y sus experiencias místicas.
