However, they differ in the way this semantic structure is syntactically expressed. The entity acting as Ground is mandatorily explicit in locative verbs, whereas it is never expressed in predicates with motion+path verbs. This paper discusses these syntactic differences between the two groups of verbs. Likewise, since the syntactic expression of the entity acting as Ground is formally similar to that of the object of transitive objects, we also analyze syntactic tests for the recognition of these two types of complements.En wichí/weenhayek (familia mataguaya), los verbos de movimiento+trayectoria y los locativos contienen en su significado léxico dos argumentos, la entidad que actúa como Figura y la que actúa como Fondo respecto del cual se concibe la locación, trayectoria u orientación de la Figura, pero difieren en cuanto a la manifestación sintáctica de esa estructura semántica. En los verbos locativos, la entidad que actúa como Fondo es obligatoriamente explícita, mientras que, en los verbos de movimiento+trayectoria, no se expresa nunca. Este trabajo discute estas diferencias sintácticas entre ambos grupos de verbos.
