Esta alteración está descrita por muchos autores según los segmentos y estructuras dañadas, para poder clasificar el tipo de fisuras labiales, el labio y paladar afectado. Objetivo: Determinar la frecuencia de pacientes con FLAP en base a la revisión de la literatura. Procesos de Búsqueda de Información: El presente trabajo tiene aspectos de tipo transversales y descriptivos, basados en revisión de literatura; inicialmente se realizó una búsqueda en PubMed privilegiando estudios menores de 7 años, por lo que se realizará una búsqueda manual para encontrar revistas académicas de alto impacto según SCImago Journal Rank 2022. Análisis de evidencia: 37 artículos fueron seleccionados: 17 corresponden a Asia, 9 pertenecientes a América, 5 África y Europa; y 0 a Oceanía. Conclusiones: Se encontró una data no muy especificada, debido a que algunos artículos no mencionaban específicamente los valores; es por ello que se decidió emplear valores promedios en rangos en pacientes FLAP según continente y sexo; y en algunos sobre prevalencia promedio según el tipo de estructura alterada (tipo de fisura).

The risk factors are multifactorial, such as tobacco use, alcoholic beverages during pregnancy, because it alters the MSX1 genotype. This alteration is described by many authors according to the damaged segments and structures, in order to classify the type of cleft lip, lip and palate affected. Objective: Determine the prevalence of patients with FLAP based on a review of the literature. Information Search Processes: This work has cross-sectional and descriptive aspects, based on literature review; Initially, a search was carried out in PubMed, favoring studies under 7 years of age, so a manual search will be carried out to find high-impact academic journals according to SCImago Journal Rank 2022. Evidence analysis: 37 articles were selected: 17 correspond to Asia, 9 belonging to America, 5 Africa and Europe; and 0 to Oceania.
