The incorporation of early termination should not only beseen from the dogmatic frame work but also from the practical, which is why we must pay attention to the numbers in the districts whereit has been applied and there by contribute to solutions that are not only in the paper.La terminación anticipada del proceso constituye un mecanismo de simplificación procesal que ha sido regulado íntegramente por el Código Procesal Penal del 2004, pero que no es novedad en nuestro ordenamiento jurídico pues ya se aplicaba para ciertos delitos - aduaneros y lavado de activos -. Su incorporación en nuestro ordenamiento jurídico penal responde a lograr una mayor celeridad en la resolución de casos penales debido a la crisis por la que atraviesa nuestra administración de justicia que se traduce en un aumento desmedido de la carga procesal y a lineamientos político criminales provenientes de las reformas procesales latinoamericanas que constituyen desde los 90’ una tendencia en la región.
