As a result, a device was obtained for preservingbamboo with the modified Boucherie method, which canbe transported with all its components, be used even whenelectricity is not available and whose operation was testedwith bamboo culms of the Dendrocalamus asper species. andGuadua angustifolia Kunth.El objetivo de esta investigación fue diseñar y construir undispositivo tipo Boucherie modificado, para la preservaciónde bambú, con características de transportabilidad y costoaccesible que permita la transferencia tecnológica horizontala comunidades de la región amazónica ecuatoriana. El diseñodel prototipo virtual se realizó mediante una metodologíaprescriptiva, utilizando un software de modelado en 3Dque luego facilitó la elaboración de la lista de materiales yherramientas necesarias para su ensamblaje; el prototipo sedesarrolló con materiales disponibles en la zona; posteriormentese realizaron las pruebas de funcionamiento en diferentes culmosde bambú.
