It is held that this distinction undermines the status and role of Supreme Interpreter of the Constitution which currently holds the Constitutional Court. And it is argued that the type of decisions is inconsistent with that role.Este ensayo toma como base la modificación del artículo 10º del Reglamento  Normativo del Tribunal Constitucional peruano para analizar un problema de fondo: las distinciones entre  los  tipos   de sentencias   que   dicta el Tribunal Constitucional (precedentes vinculantes, jurisprudencia constitucional, sentencias interpretativas). Se sostiene que dicha distinción debilita la categoría y el rol de  máximo intérprete  de  la  Constitución que ostenta en la actualidad el Tribunal Constitucional.
