Descripción
Sumario:Torus is considered non-neoplastic exostoses, which may be located in both maxillary bones and depends of the bone tissue. Our objective is to present a case of torus palatinus in association with familiar torus in a 48 year-old female patient. We underwent a retrospective study considering the surgery made in a General Hospital. We used a mucosa free flap and the result was satisfactory. We emphasize the need of keeping in mind the main characteristic of this lesion to avoid unnecessary studies of differential diagnosis with cancer in the oral cavity
