This paper identifies the existing international instruments related to the protection of movable cultural property in the event of armed conflict, especially those in force during the 19th century, and analyzes whether these conventions and declarations were respected by the parties to the conflict.a protección de bienes culturales en caso de conflicto armado es un tema que ha cobrado especial relevancia en los últimos años debido a las guerras en el Medio Oriente y los conflictos bélicos recientes. La historia de nuestro país no está exenta de ellos, por ello este trabajo estudia uno de los conflictos bélicos más relevantes de la historia del Perú en general, la “Guerra del Pacífico”, desde el derecho internacional humanitario.
