The research was of an explanatory level and the design used was quasi-experimental. The simple consisted of 74 students from the two faculties who were selected for convenience, with whom the control group (30) and the experimental group (44) were formed. Pretest and posttest tests were applied to both groups with the difference that the control group was not trained. Regarding the variable use of ICT, these contribute to the improvement of learning and increase and improve the development of reading comprehension at the inferential level but not the critical level in students. Keywords: reading comprehension – ICT – inferential level – critical levelEl objetivo del presente trabajo fue analizar cómo el uso de las Tecnología de Información y Comunicación (TIC mejora e incrementa el desarrollo de la comprensión lectora en los niveles inferencial y crítico en los estudiantes de tercer ciclo del 2020 de las Facultades de Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades de la Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal, Lima, Perú. La investigación fue de nivel explicativo y el diseño utilizado, cuasiexperimental.  La muestra estuvo constituida por 74 alumnos de las dos facultades que fueron seleccionados por conveniencia con los cuales se conformó el grupo control (30) y el grupo experimental (44).  A ambos grupos se les aplicó las pruebas pretest y postest con la diferencia que el grupo control no fue capacitado. Respecto a la variable uso de las TIC, estas contribuyen en la mejora del aprendizaje e incrementan y mejoran el desarrollo de la comprensión lectora en el nivel inferencial pero no el nivel crítico en los estudiantes.
