Nevertheless, a revision of the Traditions from the point of view of the treatment of geography, landscape and nature, reveals fragments in which it acquires an importance that, although overlapping, imposes routes to the urban history and, therefore, to the stories rescued and recreated by the traditionist.Los estudios críticos sobre las Tradiciones peruanas han abordado el tratamiento del espacio, eminentemente urbano (limeño) en la obra, apuntando a la importancia de los personajes y la “intrahistoria” sobre aspectos descriptivos del paisaje y la naturaleza peruanas.
