This report converted into a project, was presented to the Ministry of Culture, an institution that finally resolved, in May 2019, to declare the first complete edition of six volumes of the Peruvian Traditions (1893-1910) as Cultural Heritage of the Nation. El presente artículo se basa en un estudio técnico de seis ejemplares de las Tradiciones peruanas pertenecientes a la colección Ricardo Palma de la Biblioteca Nacional del Perú (BNP), la misma que fue la base para la elaboración del informe final de la Dirección de Protección de Colecciones de la BNP. Este informe, convertido en proyecto, fue presentado al Ministerio de Cultura, institución que finalmente resolvió, en mayo del año 2019, declarar como Patrimonio Cultural de la Nación a la primera edición completa de seis volúmenes de las Tradiciones peruanas (1893-1910).
