description The objective of the research was to determine the impacts by the confinement caused by COVID-19 on the competitiveness of olive agribusiness in Tacna in 2020, identifying the effects caused on productivity, quality, human resources, managerial practices, sales and market access, installed capacity and environmental performance. The methodology is descriptive and transversal, the study population consisted of companies of the field olives that classify as: Natural Person, Micro, Small and Medium-sized company dedicated to the field of table olives and oil production. The collection of information took place between September and November in 2020 for this purpose the survey technique was used, developed an instrument with 70 % reliability (Alpha crombach) consisting of 37 questions that were re-categorized in dimensions. The results indicate that there were no significant impacts on dimensions and analyzed using the non-parametric test of Chi square, kruskal wallis and Games-Howell: productivity level; sales level; access and market access; management practices and business articulation; production quality, human resources and environmental performance with a 95 % confidence level, however when comparing between types of companies natural people with businesses were found to have negative impacts on specific aspects such as: volume of exports; training carried out on staff; financial and accounting control tools and in the application of organizational techniques that are applicable in management, all at 95 % confidence. It is therefore concluded that there were no impacts caused by COVID-19 confinement. On the competitiveness of olive agribusiness in Tacna in 2020.

On the competitiveness of olive agribusiness in Tacna in 2020.El objetivo de la investigación fue determinar los impactos causados por el confinamiento causada por el COVID-19 sobre la competitividad de la agroindustria aceitunera en Tacna en el año 2020, identificando los efectos causados en la productividad, calidad, la capacidad instalada, recursos humanos, practicas gerenciales, nivel de ventas, acceso al mercado, y desempeño ambiental. La metodología es de tipo descriptivo y transversal, la población de estudio consistió en empresas que clasifican como: Persona natural, Micro, Pequeña y Mediana empresa dedicadas al rubro de aceituna de mesa y producción de aceite de olivo. La recolección de información se efectuó en el periodo comprendido entre setiembre a noviembre del 2020 para ello se empleó la técnica de la encuesta, desarrollando un instrumento con una fiabilidad de 70 % (Alfa de Crombach) que consta de 37 preguntas que fueron recategorizadas en dimensiones y contrastadas mediante la prueba no paramétrica de Chi cuadrado, kruskal wallis y Games-Howell. Los resultados indican que no hubo impactos significativos sobre las dimensiones analizadas tales como nivel de productividad; nivel de ventas; acceso a mercados; practicas gerenciales y articulación empresarial; calidad de producción, recursos humanos y desempeño ambiental con un nivel de confianza del 95 %, No obstante al comparar entre tipos de empresas se encontró que las personas naturales con negocio si tuvieron impactos negativos en aspectos específicos como: volumen de exportaciones; capacitaciones realizadas al personal; herramientas de control financiero y contable y en la aplicación de las técnicas organizacionales que son aplicables en el gerenciamiento, todas al 95 % de confianza.
