The ecological room had dimensions of 4.5 m x 3.5 m x 2.0 m and 3 200 plastic PET bottles compacted with soil were necessary for its construction. To prepare the complementary mixture used in the building, water, clay, farmland and dry Cynodon dactylon were used, in proportions of 6, 5, 4 and 0.05, respectively. The construction was carried out by forming layers composed of the mentioned polymer and the mixture. The roof of the eco-infrastructure was made up of corbels and wooden beams. It was evident that an ecological room can only be used as a home due to the comfortable environment inside. It was proven that the building can be carried out safely, economically and peacefully with the environment.Lo que me impulsó a realizar la presente investigación fue la problemática generada por los residuos sólidos plásticos en la ciudad heroica. Esta investigación tuvo como objetivos: (1) aprovechar los residuos sólidos plásticos PET para construir una habitación ecológica en Tacna, (2) determinar la temperatura interior y exterior de la edificación e (3) identificar las ventajas y desventajas de la construcción ecológica vs. una construcción tradicional. La habitación ecológica tuvo dimensiones de 4.5 m x 3.5 m x 2.0 m y para su construcción fueron necesarias 3 200 botellas plásticas PET compactadas con tierra. Para preparar la mezcla complementaria empleada en la edificación se utilizó: Agua, arcilla, tierra de chacra y Cynodon dactylon seco, en proporciones de 6, 5, 4 y 0.05, respectivamente. La construcción fue realizada formando capas compuestas por el polímero mencionado y la mezcla. El techo de la eco-infraestructura estuvo compuesto por calaminas y vigas de madera. Se evidenció que una habitación ecológica puede ser empleada únicamente como vivienda por el confortable ambiente de su interior. Se comprobó que la edificación puede ser llevada a cabo de forma segura, económica y pacífica con el ambiente.
