After the report of three fatalities due to COVID-19 in that community a multidisciplinary team involving the ministries of health, interior affairs, culture and the major of the Rimac district, the community of that district and NGOs did not allow the movement of persons in and out the community. The proportion of members of the community with positive IgM serological tests come down and those with positive IgG levels increased, suggesting reduced transmission or presence of mild- asymptomatic cases. The vulnerability of indigenous communities as reported here is a clear evidence of the need to have sustainable and articulated plans to protect these communities from devastating diseases such as COVID-19.Las poblaciones en condiciones de pobreza, con movilidad social restringida y limitado acceso a servicios de salud, como la comunidad Shipibo-Konibo de Cantagallo (Rímac) son grupos vulnerables a COVID-19. Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia2022-01-19info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionPeer-reviewed articleArtículo evaluado por paresapplication/pdfhttps://revistas.upch.edu.pe/index.php/RMH/article/view/412010.20453/rmh.v32i4.4120Revista Médica Herediana; Vol. 32 No. 4 (2021): October-December; 234-238Revista Médica Herediana; Vol. 32 Núm. 4 (2021): Octubre-Diciembre; 234-238Revista Medica Herediana; v. 32 n. 4 (2021): Octubre-Diciembre; 234-2381729-214X1018-130Xreponame:Revistas - Universidad Peruana Cayetano Herediainstname:Universidad Peruana Cayetano Herediainstacron:UPCHspahttps://revistas.upch.edu.pe/index.php/RMH/article/view/4120/4655Derechos de autor 2022 Luis Fernando Llanos Zavalaga, Claudio Willbert Ramírez Atencio, Yanet Rocío Chura-Centeno, Irving Brian Pareja-Palomino, Henry Francisco Aguado Taquireinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessoai:revistas.upch.edu.pe:article/41202022-01-19T17:04:08Z
