Descripción
Sumario:Urban Solid Waste is nowadays a new research approach in civil engineering, whose problems are currently reflected in the increase in the generation of Urban Solid Waste, the final disposal being the landfill, resulting in an artificial fill, where Geotechnics has an active participation in the project, execution, operation and rehabilitation, works that are developed within the area called "Environmental Geotechnics", which is the meeting between classical geotechnics and environmental sciences. This research work is the first to be developed at a national level regarding the determination of characterization parameters and settlements of the Urban Solid Waste landfill, which was developed in the San Antonio Cusco Landfill, currently closed, and through Geotechnics allowed us to characterize the Urban Solid Waste with geotechnical tests such as: Density, Humidity, Granulometry, Permeability and Temperature, as well as determine the settlements and consolidation phenomena of the Landfill, through mechanistic models such as: Sowers (1973), Power Creep Law (1994) and Plate load tests, SPT and PDL.
