Urban Solid Waste is nowadays a new research approach in civil engineering, whose problems are currently reflected in the increase in the generation of Urban Solid Waste, the final disposal being the landfill, resulting in an artificial fill, where Geotechnics has an active participation in the project, execution, operation and rehabilitation, works that are developed within the area called "Environmental Geotechnics", which is the meeting between classical geotechnics and environmental sciences.
