Addicionally, it cricicizes chose postures chat propuses that che existance of indigenious cultures is perjudicial for the development of a country. lt is relevant to indicates that che author uses a literary resource as form of expressing his cheoretical reflection. This position is evident in the vague mixture of realicy and ficcion. Besides imaginary characters as Marito, appears real individous thac inhabits in che Kichua-lamistas communities chat che researcher visiced.Este ensayo tiene doble finalidad. Por un lado, describir e interpretar la forma en que un grupo étnico específico (los kichua-lamistas) crea, maneja y reinventa su cultura, mostrando a la vez, las dificultades que surgen al intentar este abordaje. Por otro, criticar aquellas posturas que proponen que la existencia de las culturas indígenas es perjudicial para el desarrollo de un país. Es pertinente señalar que el autor utiliza un recurso expositivo literario como forma de expresar su reflexión teórica. Esca posición se hace evidente en la mezcla indistinta de realidad y ficción.
