So, both thinking stylesend up thinking about the same elements that compose democracy, but under a different hierarchy order.El presente artículo estudia el fenómeno de la transición democrática a partir del caso peruano (1977-1980). De esta forma retoma la discusión entre dos tradiciones políticas que suelen ser vistas como antagonistas, siendo este fenómeno uno de los tantos ítems de la discusión (régimen político, sistema de partidos, conflictos sociales, etc.). Sin embargo el autor plantea una mayor cercanía entre ambas que la distancia que señalan. Ambos estilos de análisis terminan pensando en los mismos elementos que componen la democracia, pero bajo un orden jerárquico distinto.
