Bolton Broth was used as enrichment medium and a CCDA selective medium, followed by a second Karmali selective medium for Campylobacter. Suspicious colonies were reseeded on Blood Agar. Campylobacter spp strains were isolated in 5 + 4.2% (5/100) of the samples.El estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar la frecuencia de Campylobacter spp en alimento crudo biológicamente apropiado (BARF) para perros que se comercializan en Lima, Perú. Se recolectaron 100 muestras al azar de alimento BARF, provenientes de 10 marcas comerciales y de lotes diferentes. Se realizó el método horizontal para la detección y enumeración de Campylobacter spp (ISO 10272-1:2017). Se empleó el Caldo Bolton como medio de enriquecimiento y un medio selectivo CCDA, seguido de un segundo medio selectivo Karmali para Campylobacter. Las colonias sospechosas fueron resembradas en Agar Sangre.
