Its aim is to shed light on how these narratives tend to overlook the most vulnerable segments of the population. In response to these omissions, the artistic works delve into the spaces and subjects that bring forth the precarious existence shaped by the pandemic and the shortcomings of the Cuban state. El ensayo presente analiza las obras artísticas creadas en Cuba que abordan el impacto del covid-19 en la isla. Se examinan los efectos sociales, económicos y de salud que la crisis sanitaria ha provocado en el país, así como las narrativas oficiales que han surgido en torno a la pandemia. Se destaca cómo estas narrativas han ocultado las dificultades de los sectores más vulnerables de la población. En contraposición, las obras artísticas han explorado espacios y problemáticas que permiten visibilizar las vidas precarias que la pandemia y la falta de atención estatal han agravado.
