This compound shows big afinitty for tl1e electromotor nerves and the nuclear chrornatin of electrocytes. Both structures exhibited intense fluorescence. Whereas, the mitochondna were slightly fluorescent. Additionally, the electron probe X·ray microanalysis suggests a migration of chloride and catíonic ions.Se describe la síntesis y localización intracelular de un derivado de tetrafenilporfirina lipofllica en electrocitos de Psammobatis extenta (Rajidae). La locallzaclón intracelular se estudió observando la fluorescencia roja presentada por este derivado de porfírina. Este compuesto presentó gran afinidad por los nervios electromotores y los núcleos de los electrocitos. Ambas estructuras exhibieron fluorescencia intensa, mientras que la mitocondria mostró una fluorescencia débil.
