Of total freedom, the libertas were mostly those who had better opportunities to manage your willEn la presente investigación se pretende estudiar a los libertos en Lima durante el siglo xviii. Para esto se cuenta con un importante fondo documental constituido por los testamentos de los libertos y libertas de Lima en el siglo indicado. Aunque en esos documentos se evidencian los pocos bienes dejados, los libertos se esforzaban por describir sus herencias y decidir a quienes nombraban como sus herederos y cuántos bienes les correspondían.
