The Questionnaire to assess the use of WhatsApp for regulating group work, composed of 59 questions and 4 dimensions was used. Results. In the dimensional analysis, the answers from low-value responses were the most frequent in all cases. Second semester students responded favorably to the use of WhatsApp, while fourth semester students had a negative response in all dimensions. Global analysis showed that 32,9% of students refers high valuation and average valuation, while 34,2% results in a low scoring valuation. Conclusions. WhatsApp use have a low value respect to collaborative work in post-graduate students.Introducción. La tecnología ofrece un enfoque distinto sobre las habilidades de aprendizaje y las actividades que los estudiantes realizan mediante el uso de herramientas de comunicación como WhatsApp. Objetivo. Describir la valoración del aplicativo móvil WhatsApp para el trabajo colaborativo en estudiantes de postgrado de gerencia de servicios de salud. Métodos. Investigación de enfoque cuantitativo, prospectivo, de corte transversal. Se utilizó el instrumento denominado: Cuestionario para valorar WhatsApp en la regulación del trabajo en grupo; de 59 preguntas y cuatro dimensiones. Resultados. El análisis por dimensiones mostró que las respuestas de baja valoración predominan en todos los casos. El análisis del promedio determinó que los estudiantes del segundo semestre respondieron favorablemente sobre el uso del aplicativo móvil, mientras que los de cuarto semestre respondieron negativamente en todas las dimensiones.
