For the reasons indicated, the present research seeks to identify in students who are completing the EBR (5th grade of high school) the level of knowledge they have about climate change and its relationship with environmental awareness. For this, the methodology used is the quantitative approach and the population that was part of the study were the students of the I. E. José Carlos Mariátegui La Chira, from the district of San Buenaventura. Finally, the analysis of the results is carried out and the conclusion is reached that there is a regular positive correlation between the two variables raised.De tantos problemas que debe afrontar la humanidad, la degradación ambiental es uno de ellos, la cual genera impactos negativos a nivel local, nacional y global; por lo tanto, la humanidad tiene la responsabilidad de identificar las causas y consecuencias de los diferentes problemas ambientales, para así adoptar acciones adecuadas que le permitan mitigarlos. Por las razones indicadas, la presente investigación busca identificar en los estudiantes que están culminando la EBR (5° grado de secundaria) el nivel de conocimiento que tienen sobre el cambio climático y su relación con la conciencia ambiental. Para ello, la metodología empleada es el enfoque cuantitativo y la población que formó parte del estudio fueron los estudiantes de la I. E. José Carlos Mariátegui La Chira, del distrito de San Buenaventura.
