With a stratified sample with a Cronbach’s Alpha result of 85%. Concluding that the implementation of this service positively influences the improvement of Institutional Management in the UNMSM that allows the introduction of meritocracy by establishing a system of revaluation and professionalization of the Public Servant. We conclude that the implementation of the Civil Service has a positive influence on the improvement of Institutional Management in the UNMSM that allows the introduction of meritocracy by establishing a system of revaluation and professionalization of the Public Servant.El objetivo de esta investigación fue determinar si la implementación de la Ley del Servicio Civil influye en la mejora de la gestión institucional de la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (UNMSM) con el propósito de demostrar y sensibilizar a las autoridades sobre la base de experiencias nacionales e internacionales exitosas, los impactos y beneficios que representa para la Universidad, encontrándose dentro de un proceso de tránsito hacia el nuevo régimen del Servicio Civil dispuestas por la Autoridad Nacional del Servicio Civil (SERVIR); Esta investigación es de tipo aplicada de nivel descriptivo y su diseño es no experimental, ya que no implica el cambio de las variables. Con una muestra estratificada con resultado de Alpha de Cronbach del 85%.
