The basic meaning of this system has to be directly related to the cognitive principles and values or norms of behavior of a culture. I have named the two identified postulates as the postulate of certainty and the postulate of warmth due to the basic meaning that their respective morphemes share internally. The postulate of certainty is formed by the independent or discursive suffixes: -mi, -si, -cha, -puni, and their forms combined with the morphemes -iki and -á. The linguistic postulate of warmth has a complex manifestation since it consists of both nominal and verbal derivative suffixes as well as independent suffixes: -cha, -cha, -ri, -yku, -taq, -lla, -y, -á, -ri and its combined forms.En este estudio se presenta dos postulados lingüísticos del quechua chanka. Estos evidencian algunos principios cognoscitivos y valores de la cultura andina. A partir del concepto de postulado establecido por Hardman (1972), se propone que un postulado lingüístico para ser considerado como tal debe configurar un pequeño sistema morfológico relativamente estable cuyo significado básico se encuentre directamente relacionado a los principios cognoscitivos y valores o normas de comportamiento de una cultura. A los dos postulados que hemos identificado, los hemos denominado postulado de la certidumbre y postulado de la calidez por el significado básico que comparten internamente sus respectivos morfemas. El postulado de la certidumbre está formado por los sufijos independientes o discursivos: -mi, -si, -cha, -puni, y sus formas combinadas con los morfemas -iki y -á.
