The search for glaucoma in eye health campaigns, QUC is based solely on high values ​​of intraocular pressure, can improve the sensitivity and specificity significativamcnte further evaluated whether the appearance of the optic nerve.Entre diciembre de 1995 y mayo de 1996 se evaluó 725 pacientes en el Servicio de Oftalmología del Hospital Central de la Policía Nacional del Perú. Se realizó un examen oftalmológico que incluyó la determinación de la presión intraocular, la evaluación del aspecto del nervio óptico y del campo visual. Se encontró una casuística de 1,96 % de glaucoma recién diagnosticado, 12,27 % de hipertensos oculares y 6,71 % de pacientes con relación pseudoglaucomatosa del disco.
