Selective sampling and the Interception Line method were used for sampling. The results indicate that the two plant species in soils contaminated with mining tailings have a phytoremediation efficiency by exclusion higher than 99% (p>0.001), immobilizing metals under the non-soluble form. It is concluded that the association of the two species has the root and rhizosphere as the main destination of heavy metals (as undissolved metal), which makes them exclusion phytostabilizing plants.El relave de una planta minera en Perú está muy contaminado por metales pesados, contiene niveles tóxicos de Al, Cd, Cu, Pb y Zn, presenta riesgo ambiental elevado. Por lo cual se realizó la fitorremediación a través de Dactylis glomerata y Pennisetum clandestinum a escala invernadero para la recuperación del suelo. El estudio fue cuantitativo, explicativo y experimental. Para la toma de muestra se consideró el muestreo selectivo y método de la Línea de Intercepción. Los resultados indican que las dos especies vegetales en suelos contaminados con relave de la minería tienen eficiencia fitorremediadora por exclusión superior al 99% (p>0.001), inmovilizando los metales bajo la forma no soluble.
