With their economic contributions and direction of the productive activities they sustained the war, allowed the participation of their relatives in the warlike conflicts and spread the messages until the triumph of Simón Bolívar in the battle of Ayacucho (1824).Este artículo estudia el papel de las mujeres de Huamanga en la guerra por la independencia peruana. A través de documentos de archivos regionales y nacionales damos un sustento formal a la idea de que las mujeres contribuyeron significativamente cuando apoyaron a las fuerzas libertarias y realistas.
