He once again highlights the interest in attending first to the needs of populations with fewer resources.Como en anteriores trabajos sobre la realidad regional ya publicados en la Revista IECOS, el autor ofrece un panorama del departamento de Ancash, donde luego de la descripción geográfica y político-administrativa, se indican las obras de infraestructura disponibles y la población. Se muestran las carencias del empleo y los servicios sociales (salud y educa-ción) y concluye con una revisión de la economía y las opor-tunidades productivas en cada sector.
