Descripción
Sumario:The Renewable Energy Center of the National University of Engineering, CER-UNI, has been developing a project with the aim of developing a refrigerator for rural areas, where there is no availability of an electrical network. The operation of the refrigerator is based on a thermodynamic adsorption cycle, using water as a refrigerant and the mineral zeolite as an adsorbent. The refrigerator prototype was developed by EG-Solar (Altötting, Germany) and donated to theUNI.The first experimental results obtained with the prototype are presented here. This evaluation will then lead to presenting appropriate modifications to improve its operation, in addition toadapt it to the Peruvian reality.
