Sumario:Gonzalo García Nuñez departed on a journey to infinity on January 8 of this year at the age of 76, leaving as his legacy an extensive professional and civic performance and an example of probity in the exercise of public service. The Faculty of Economic Engineering, Statistics and Social Sciences pays tribute to his memory and to the man who was the driving force behind GIECO and a member of the Advisory Board of the scientific journal IECOS published by our faculty. Born in Lima on February 16, 1947, he was an industrial engineer from UNI and holds a PhD in economics from the University of Grenoble, France.
