RELACIÓN DEL PESO DEL RECIÉN NACIDO CON EDAD GESTACIONAL Y ANTROPOMETRÍA MATERNA EN GESTANTES DEL HOSPITAL BELÉN DE TRUJILLO – 2011

Esta experiencia tuvo el objetivo de determinar la relación entre el peso al nacer con la edad gestacional, y antropometría de la madre (Peso, talla, índice de masa corporal (IMC)). Es un estudio descriptivo, retrospectivo de corte transversal realizado en el servicio de Ginecología y Obstetricia del Hospital Belén de Trujillo durante el 2011. La muestra se obtuvo de una población de 3700 historias clínicas peri natales y estuvo conformada por: 1500 gestantes con recién nacido vivo, con edad mínima de la madre 19 años, embarazo único y edad gestacional de 30 a 42 semanas. Esta investigación reporta 34.3 % de las gestantes con peso deficitario, según el IMC 38 % malnutridas en exceso y 5,8 % en déficit, 10.5 % con talla menor de 1.45 m. El peso del recién nacido está relacionado significativamente con la talla de la madre, con el IMC preconcepcional, así como con la edad gestacional. Se concluye que los indicadores antropométricos del estado nutricional materno resultaron indicadores predictivos efectivos del peso bajo al nacer.Palabra clave: Peso al nacer, antropometría materna, edad gestacionalABSTRACTThis experience aimed to determine the relationship between birth weight, and gestational age and maternal anthropometry (Weight, height, body mass index (BMI)). It is a descriptive, retrospective cross-sectional study, made in the service of Gynecology and Obstetrics Hospital Belén of Trujillo in 2011. The sample was drawn from a population of 3700 perinatal medical records and consisted of: 1500 pregnant women with live birth, with low maternal age 19 years, singleton pregnancy and gestational age of 30-42 weeks. This research reports 34.3% of pregnant women with deficient weight, 38% malnourished and 5.8% excess deficit, 10.5% smaller size of 1.45 m. The birth weight was significantly associated with maternal height, pre pregnancy BMI with, as well as with gestational age.
