The study sample consisted of 62 students from first to fifth grade of the Santiago Ángel de la Paz Antúnez de Mayolo Gomero Educational Institution in the district of Acoria, Huancavelica. The results are: 77.42% of the adolescents have a low level of social skills, while 69.35% have a poor family social climate; for a significance level of 5% there is a very low positive correlation between social skills and family social climate (0.030). Therefore, it is concluded that family social climate is hardly positively associated with social skillsEl objetivo de la investigación fue analizar la relación entre las habilidades sociales y el clima social familiar en los adolescentes de una institución educativa rural del Perú. Se utilizó el método descriptivo y la técnica de la encuesta con dos instrumentos: Lista de evaluación de habilidades sociales (LEHS) y escala de clima social familiar (ECSF). La muestra de estudio estuvo constituida por 62 estudiantes del primer al quinto grado de la Institución Educativa Santiago Ángel de la Paz Antúnez de Mayolo Gomero del distrito de Acoria, Huancavelica. Los resultados son: el 77.42% de los adolescentes tienen un nivel bajo de habilidades sociales, mientras que el 69.35% tienen un clima social familiar malo; para un nivel de significancia del 5% existe una correlación positiva muy baja entre habilidades sociales y clima social familiar (0,030).
