Usability of ICT and organizational commitment: other effects of COVID 19

The research analyzes the usability of information and communication technologies (ICT) and the degree of organizational commitment, specifically among the administrative staff of the Regional Government of Pasco, as part of other effects of COVID-19. Adopting a quantitative approach and a non-experimental, cross-sectional and descriptive-correlational design, the study incorporated 320 administrative workers belonging to the aforementioned regional government. The ICT Usability Questionnaire was applied along with the Meyer and Allen Organizational Commitment Scale. The results revealed a direct and highly significant connection (rho = .511, p < .01) between ICT usability and organizational commitment. In conclusion, the pandemic has had an unexpected effect: it has given an enormous boost to the adoption of ICT in different areas. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, greater ICT usability was found to directly translate into an increase in organizational commitment within the population examined.
