So that, the present investigation entitled" relation of the use of the internet with the temperament and the academic performance in students of the third grade of secondary education in Huánuco 2014" had as objective to determine if the use of the internet is related with the temperament and the academic performance of the student, as method the descriptive correlational design was used, and it was applied a survey and personality test, taking as sample 303 students in five educational institutions of Huánuco, the characteristics of the use of the internet in four dimensions was used; use as a means of communication, as the médium of instruction as a means of information and as a means of entertainment, the temperament type and level of academic performance of the students was determined, according to the DCN. For the contrast of hypothesis the chi square test was applied, with the following results: there is independence between the use of the Internet and the temperament, and there is no independence between the use of the Internet and the academic performance.En esta era donde prevalece el avance de la tecnología y el gobierno se afana en implementar con medios informáticos los centros educativos, con enlace a internet, esta situación deja abierta muchas posibilidades como es la de determinar el impacto en el alumno en sus diferentes facetas como persona. De esta manera es que la presente investigación titulada " relación del uso de internet con el temperamento y el rendimiento académico de los alumnos del tercer grado de educación secundaria de Huánuco 2014" tuvo como objetivo determinar si el uso de internet se relaciona con el temperamento y en el rendimiento académico del alumno, como método se utilizó el diseño descriptivo correlacional, para lo cual se aplicó una encuesta y test de personalidad, teniendo como muestra 303 estudiantes de cinco instituciones educativas de Huánuco, se tomó las características del uso de internet en cuatro dimensiones; uso como medio de comunicación, como medio de instrucción, como medio de información y como medio de entretenimiento, se determinó el tipo de temperamento y nivel de rendimiento académico, de los estudiantes, de acuerdo al DCN.
