The public management approach based on the modernization and digitalization of the State was used. Data collection was carried out through the application of a survey questionnaire to 372 citizen users of municipal services, from 2020 to the present, and with this, the correlation between variables was estimated. Results. Evidence was found of a positive association between the implementation of e-government and the simplification of municipal administrative processes. In particular, the value of the correlation coefficient between the implementation of e-government and the simplification of requirements, costs and deadlines was found to be 0.486, 0.351 and 0.472, respectively. Conclusions. It can be affirmed that the implementation of ICT in MPHCO management since the COVID-19 pandemic has contributed to making administrative processes simpler for citizens who demand municipal products/services.Objetivo. Determinar la relación entre la implementación del e-government (gobierno electrónico) y la simplificación de los procesos administrativos en la Municipalidad Provincial de Huánuco (MPHCO), región Huánuco (Perú), en el contexto de la COVID-19. Métodos. La investigación se caracterizó por ser de tipo básico, con un nivel descriptivo-correlacional y un diseño no experimental. Se empleó el enfoque de la gestión pública basada en la modernización y digitalización del Estado. La recolección de datos se llevó a cabo mediante la aplicación de un cuestionario de encuesta a 372 ciudadanos usuarios de los servicios municipales, a partir del año 2020 hasta la actualidad, y con ello se estimó la correlación entre las variables. Resultados. Se halló evidencia de una asociación positiva entre la implementación del e-government y la simplificación de los procesos administrativos municipales. En particular, se halló que el valor del coeficiente de correlación entre la implementación del e-government y la simplificación de los requisitos, costos y plazos es de 0,486, 0,351 y 0,472, respectivamente. Conclusiones.
