Sumario:Agroindustrial companies in our country cover a large segment of national economy; however they do not have a model of innovation for the development and design of new agroindustrial products. Therefore this research was proposed in order to develop a model of innovation for the development and design of new agroindustrial products. The results were: only 28% of companies claim that they have an area of research and development of new products and 80% of companies recognize and claim that they are interested in having a model of innovation for the development and design of new agroindustrial products in a maximum degree. The innovation model proposed for the development and design of new agroindustrial products it is based on answering the following questions: has the company identified the sources for the generation of new ideas?, does the company use any technique or tool for the generation of new ideas?, is the new product according to the objectives of the company?, how will the product be produced?, what will the right packaging of the product be?, what will the design of the product label be?, what will the product brand be? These are questions of this research.
