The research was framed within the guidelines of the quantitative paradigm and the criteria of a non-experimental-cross-sectional design and was also of a basic observational type and correlational level. The sample was made up of 190 collaborators from different microfinance entities in the Junin region. The technique used was the survey, to measure professional burnout the Maslach exhaustion inventory was used and to measure job performance the job performance scale was used. The data were analyzed with SPSS version 25 for Windows. The results showed the existence of a negative correlation of -0.224 between professional burnout and job performance with a p-value of 0.027. Therefore, it is concluded that there is a significant negative relationship between professional burnout and job performance in employees of microfinance entities in the Junin region.A raíz de la pandemia de COVID-19 se generaron altos niveles de desgaste profesional asociados a niveles bajos de desempeño y, por lo tanto, de productividad en diversos sectores empresariales. El objetivo del estudio fue medir la relación existente entre el desgaste profesional y el job performance en colaboradores de entidades microfinancieras de la región Junín. La investigación estuvo enmarcada en los lineamientos del paradigma cuantitativo y en los criterios de un diseño no experimental-transversal, además fue de tipo básico observacional y nivel correlacional. La muestra estuvo conformada por 190 colaboradores de diferentes entidades microfinancieras de la región Junín. La técnica empleada fue la encuesta, para medir el desgaste profesional se utilizó el inventario de agotamiento de Maslach y para medir el job performance se utilizó la escala de desempeño laboral. Los datos fueron analizados con el programa SPSS versión 25 para Windows. Los resultados arrojaron la existencia de una correlación negativa de -0,224 entre el desgaste profesional y el job performance con un p-valor de 0,027.
