It was elaborated the need to respond to the social and professional challenges proposed by the reality of the globalized world in which we live scientific and humanistic knowledge.El presente artículo presenta una crítica a la forma como se aborda la formación del estudiante universitario en la actualidad. Se señala la crisis que atraviesan las humanidades en la formación profesional en estos tiempos a la vez que se busca destacar la importancia y el valor de estas para la formación integral de los estudiantes.
