Within the genus Liolaemus is Liolaemus zapallarensis (Müller & Hellmich, 1933), a species endemic to Chile that inhabits coastal scrub with rocks, and is known to be omnivorous, including green shoots and flowers. In order to contribute to the knowledge of the diet of this species, the objective of this note is to report the casual record of an unknown component in the diet of the species. We report the predation and swallowing of an individual of the spider Acanthogonatus sp. by L. zapallarensis in a dune with a high degree of anthropic intervention. Hunting occurred quickly and effectively.En Chile los textos sobre reptiles normalmente expresan que las especies del género Liolaemus son insectívoras, omnívoras y a veces herbívoras. Sin embargo, no se entrega mayor nivel de detalle. Dentro del género Liolaemus se encuentra Liolaemus zapallarensis (Müller & Hellmich, 1933), especie endémica de Chile que habita matorrales costeros con rocas, y se sabe que es omnívora, incluyendo brotes verdes y flores. Con el fin de contribuir al conocimiento de la dieta de esta especie, se planteó como objetivo de esta nota, reportar el registro casual de un componente desconocido en la dieta de la especie. Se reporta la depredación y engullimiento de un individuo de la araña Acanthogonatus sp., por parte de L. zapallarensis en una duna con alto grado de intervención antrópica.
