Sumario:Excessive and inappropriate chemical fertilizer application has led to a decline in soil fertility, productivity, and microorganisms. Organic fertilizers retain their soil quality, nutrient availability, and environmental conditions. A field experiment was carried out to study the effect of Farm Yard Manure (FYM), Vermicompost, and biofertilizer on the growth and yield of chili (Namdhari–1701) at Barju–5, Sunsari, Nepal, from March 2024 to June 2024. A single–factor Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) was used to set up the experiment comprising seven treatments (Control, FYM @ 25 t.ha-1, Vermicompost @ 2.5 t.ha-1, Vermicompost (50 %) + FYM (50 %), Mycorrhiza1 @ 25 kg.ha-1, Mycorrhiza1 (50 %) + FYM (50 %), Mycorrhiza2 @ 35 kg.ha-1) with three replications. The study revealed that the FYM, Vermicompost + FYM, and Mycorrhiza1 + FYM treatments resulted in the highest total grain yield 11.68 t.ha-1, 10.76 t.ha-1, and 10.56 t.ha-1, respectively. Other treatments: Vermicompost, Mycorrhiza1, and Mycorrhiza also showed significantly higher grain yield than the control group. Similarly, these treatments positively influenced plant height, number of branches, days to first flowering, number of fruits/plant, fruit length, diameter, individual fruit weight, and fruit weight/plant, all of which were lowest in the Control group. Mycorrhiza + FYM consistently increased the fruit yield in both harvestings and had the highest  B : C Ratio. Therefore, this research showed that the treatment Mycorrhiza + FYM was the most appropriate to produce chili fruit in the spring season at Barju, Sunsari Nepal.
