Metodológicamente, el estudio es el resultado de una revisión sistemática con trabajo de campo que ha permitido recoger puntos de vista sobre la tutoría y sobre el papel del tutor concebido orgánicamente en función de las necesidades del estudiante universitario, no solo en el aspecto cognitivo, sino en la incorporación de elementos que comprendan los aspectos afectivos. Se concluyó que la tutoría universitaria concebida como acompañamiento pertinente constituye un medio de acompañamiento eficaz en el proceso educativo de educación superior universitaria.The article aims to describe university tutoring as a means of accompaniment in the educational process of university higher education from the position and role of the student. Methodologically, the study is the result of a systematic review with field work that has made it possible to collect points of view on tutoring and on the role of the tutor organically conceived according to the needs of the university student, not only in the cognitive aspect, but in the incorporation of elements that include the affective aspects.
